Isla and the Happily Ever After is the sequel to the DIK Anna and the French Kiss and also Lola and the Boy Next Door, though you don’t have to have read the other books first. Suddenly it’s senior year, and these bicultural New Yorker/Parisians have started to figure things out – but maybe too late. Isla Martin has been in love with Joshua Wasserstein since she first saw him in ninth grade, but between Isla’s shyness and Josh’s misunderstanding of her relationship with her best friend Kurt, the two never managed to get on the same page.

more he end of this book! Watching the way they all tie into each other is a reward on its own and I have nothing but shining praise for her books!!! LOVEEDD THEM! If I am having a bad day I can just snatch up one of her beautifully written and amazingly created novels to Perk (pun intended) my day up! I finish her books like they are a Hershey's chocolate bar on a particularly gruesome day! Isla and the Happily ever after is my most recently read Stephanie Perkins book and I can without a doubt say I want MORE! Isla is probably neck and neck with Lola on my favorite character and I love how Stephanie DESPITE writing them as companion novels makes it feel more like a series by putting all of these characters together at t. Review 1: Stephanie Perkins is in one word GENIUS! I adore her books and the way they don't make me want to tear characters out of the book just to beat the crap out of them and put them back! She makes the read so enjoyable.
